People to be Honoured and Thanked in 2008
This year the National Day of Thanksgiving coincides with Mothers Day weekend.
Those to be honoured and thanked as part of the National Day of Thanksgiving celebrations to be held on 10th May 2008 are as follows:-
We wish to honour all Mothers and thank those people throughout our respective communities who nurture, train, teach, mentor or care for babies, children and youth.
This would include but not be limited to: Full and part time workers and volunteers in Babies and Children's homes, Foster Carers, staff in Child Care and Pre-School facilities , staff and volunteers working in Youth Shelters, School Teachers and Chaplains, Youth Workers, Sporting team coaches and administrators.

A few days before the 10th May I mentioned the NDOT to my mother in law, who was going off to Koorong for a bit of a look see. When I got back I found she had left 2 packs of Thanksgiving Cards.

As the Co-ordinator for NDOT within our Church Fellowship I created A4 Certificates of Thanks for 27 Schools, Pre-schools, Day Care Centres within the Great Lakes Area and 1 Certificate to our local Police Command - to indicate our appreciation for all that they do in teaching, mentoring, guiding and encouraging our young people.
